Wow, I really can’t believe that next week is Thanksgiving already. Doesn’t it feel like this year is moving by really quick? Before you know it we’ll be ringing in the New Year which is always exciting and fun. I’m excited because I’ve taken a step toward shooting something different. I will always love weddings and portraits but as an artist I need to venture into to areas to keep my eye and other work fresh and constantly evolving.
Here is my first project that reflects that. Shot in a lovely bamboo grove, I had the pleasure to photograph a real life Ninja. Yes, they do exist and are all around us; did you know that?! Of course, I can’t reveal his true identity to you. If I did, I’d have to sleep with one eye open for a very long time! This shoot has sparked so many new ideas for me. I can’t wait to start sharing them with all of you.
Check out my first calendar project. It makes a great gift for the holidays for anyone who in interested in martial arts. The 2011 Ninja Calendar is a unique and fun holiday gift and by purchasing it you are supporting a local artist. Who doesn’t love Ninja’s?!
Here are a few pics from the shoot. Not all of these made the cut for the calendar. To view the images in the calender visit Lulu.com.
