So often we just see the finished product. This is great and I also love seeing the shiny, fancy and final edits from photography but what happens before that? We rarely get to see the before that happens. I’m not sure how many people know how much prep goes into photographing one model. The images below are just hair and make up preparations. We kept this shoot all about the make up and hair. Other sessions get into really deep detail with the back drop or display. We’ll show some of those later on. To give you an idea of how long it take to produce one look, make up application takes 45-60 minutes, hair styling takes 15-40 minutes, the actual shooting takes about 20-30 minutes (I work fast). So let’s add it up. We are now at a total of two hours. It’s not easy, it takes a good team who work well together and each person focuses on what they do well. That’s when the magic happens. Be sure to follow me for more upcoming posts to see the before of a shoot.
Just a reminder: Don’t steal others people’s work. It’s not cool and illegal. We don’t like opening our can of whoop-ass but will if we have too;)
