Hillary booked me over a year before her wedding date. It was fun to get to know her and Zac over the planning period. I knew their day was going to be special but you never really know how wonderful it is until you arrive. Since we had been chatting over the course of the planning, Hillary contacted me about her concerns with the possibility of rain. Since they were getting married on Sept. 6th and out at the beautiful Mt Hood Organic Farms I thought that they would luck out and not be affected by any Portland storms. Well, I was wrong. Good thing I recommended her getting some rain boots and extra umbrellas for the guests. They also decided it would be smart to tent the ceremony. It ended up being a very stormy day! Within a thirty minute timeframe it would go from sunny to heavy rain to chilly winds. This did not stop the two of them from having a fabulous day.
From the handmade chuppah to the cake made by a good friend, personal touches were found throughout the event. They had a wonderful and intimate signing of the ketubah or marriage contract before the ceremony. After they said I do! it was time to mingle with family and friends. Many wrapped up in bright pashmina scarf’s to stay warm and enjoyed a family style brunch. After some emotional toasts everyone headed out into the break of sunlight for a wedding march. It was sooo hard to narrow down the images to show you. Here are some highlights from their day. Congrats to both of you!
