I had to go back into the “vault” to find their engagement images. We shot these back in March of 2008! That seems like forever ago. We walked around the park blocks downtown, using some of the classic areas of Portland as our backdrop. At the time, the two were torn about how their actual wedding day would pan out. They knew one thing though, they didn’t want to have a big gathering. So they decided to take the party to Las Vegas! A small group of immediate family and close friends will join them this Sat. the 28th.
I can’t tell you how excited I am to capture their day. First off they chose the lovely Mandalay Bay Resort for the reception and are saying I Do at the cutest little chapel just a few miles away from the strip. Before all of that starts I booked us an hour session at the historic Neon Boneyard. We are getting up early and driving over there to do a fun, vintage style shoot. If you haven’t heard of the boneyard before it’s where they take all the old neon signs from the hotels to be put to “rest”. I’m going to be like a kid in a candy store, I just know it! Here are a few pics from their engagement session. See you both Friday nite in the city that never sleeps!
