I headed back to my home turf of the midwest for Nate and Jessica’s September 13th wedding. Nate is an old friend that I met when I first moved out to Portland. He is a amazing web programmer and wrote my first website when I started my business. So when he called me up to say he was engaged and wanted me to shoot their wedding I was super excited! They live in the quaint town of Northfield, MN. The wedding day ended up being a rainy one with friends running to a nearby store to buy all the umbrellas they could for guests at the ceremony. After the ceremony it was back to their house to start the celebration. Jessica’s decorations had a vintage, folk feel to them with mason jars to hold the flowers, a fountain flowing with sangria, a candy bar with hand-made bags to fill, and a home-made photo booth! The whole day was made special by everyone helping out. Jessica’s friend made her jewelry, Nate’s brother sang at the ceremony and both parents read. The energy from the day was contagious, we were all thrilled to be there. I am so happy for both of you and thank you for letting me be a part of your day….it’s was so much fun! To see more of their wedding visit my website. They are one of the featured weddings.
