You have questions, I have the answers. Below you will find frequently asked questions about photography and how I work. Of course, if something is not listed here please contact me at email@example.com.
Q: Do you shoot digital?
A: Yes, I have been shooting with pro digital cameras for over ten years now. Canon is my gear of choice. I did start out in film and enjoyed everything about it. Digital is amazing and the technology took a while to catch up to the quality but it is certainly there now.
Q: How many images do I receive after the shoot?
A: I can not give an exact number because every shoot is different. For portraits I average about 80-100 images an hour, these are pre-edit. It also depends on if we shoot in one location or multiple & you have more than one outfit change. So for a standard one hour session you would receive between 25-45 final edited images.
Q: Do you edit the images?
A: Yes, I photograph, download and edit every shoot I do. I give each final image individual attention. I will touch up anything that looks out of place but will keep you looking like yourself. Unlike other studios who source out their work, your photos will receive the care and attention they deserve from the photographer who took them. You will end up with a gallery of images that you will be proud to showcase in your home.
Q: How long does it take before I receive my images?
A: Turn around time for portraits is within two weeks from your shoot date. You will be notified with an email and link to view your online gallery. You are then welcome to share it with family and friends. You can then order prints, canvas and more online. Commercial work is typically subject to a deadline and I will work with you to get the images completed quickly.
Q: Can you deliver more black and white images than color or vice versa?
A: Of course, with every meeting we will talk about what you are looking to achieve with your images. Some people love b & w images, others not so much. I will edit based on what you prefer.
Q: Do we get a copy of the digital negatives or files?
A: Depending on the portrait package you choose, yes, that is an option. You can also add it on if you’d like. Anytime you are receiving digital files you are being given permission to use them for personal use only. This means you can print them & display them in your home, office etc. You can not sell the images or enter them into any contest where you would profit. As the photographer, I retain copyright of the photographs giving me permission to use them for promotional purposes, to enter competitions, submit to magazines etc.
