I hope you are all keeping warm. This weather reminds me of back home, in Wisconsin. Pile on the sweaters, long-johns, start a fire or cuddle up with a blanket, winter is officially here! With winter comes engagement’s. Being around family, friends and having time off from work give your man the perfect opportunity to pop the question. If you know someone who has become recently engaged then The Art of Weddings is for them. I created the event five years ago, this will be the fourth event (I took one year off). It’s different from a traditional wedding showcase. It features small, local businesses that are very talented and love what they do. These are the people you want helping you plan your day. They are experienced and excited to make your dream day come to life. Besides great vendors you’ll find a relaxed atmosphere that feels more like a party. Finally the night will conclude with a fashion show featuring gowns from Amai Unmei, Magnifique Boutique, Sarah Seven and Duchess Clothier. The backdrop for the 2010 event is the historical Portland Center Stage at the Armory. Sake One will be mixing up sake cocktails and The Art of Catering and Ten-01 will be serving tasty appetizers.
Space is limited, so reserve your tickets now. It’s going to be a fun evening! Visit Art of Weddings for more info and the complete vendor list.
